Jeremy was first elected as County Councillor in 2009 for the Amington Division, and elected for a second time for the Bolebridge electoral division in May 2017.  

Bolebridge division lies in the north west of Tamworth district and includes the wards of Belgrave, Bolehall, Castle and Mercian and covers approximately 651 hectares with a population of 10,078.
